Edit VOB files on your Mac with VOB Editor

VOB Editor for Mac is a great tool to edit, split, cut or trim VOB file that stored in the VIDEO_TS folder on Mac OS X; Supports DVD(.VOB), AVI(Divx, XviD, MPEG4), MPEG1, MPEG2, RealMedia(.RM, .RMVB), ASF/WMV formats; Very fast and without any quality loss; Very user-friendly interface; Support large video files, even larger than 2GB.

With VOB Editor for Mac, you can split a large VOB files into smaller VOB files, or to extract manually selected segments of an .VOB file to create a new dvd by adding cue-points, remove commercials or unsuitable scenes from VOB file, join two or more VOB video clips into one “non-stop” file (rearrange their order if needed). You even can use it to convert a single file on Mac OS X.

Reference: VOB standards for “Video Object”. It is the file type to store video on a DVD disc. It is actually a MPEG-2 video, with special extension to support PCM, AC3, DTS audio, subpictures, and button navigation commands.

Step 1. Make sure you got the latest version of the VOB Editor for Mac, otherwise click here to download.
Once installed, Launch VOB Editor for Mac.

Step 2. Add your VOB file, VOB Editor for Mac will preview your VOB file directly.

Step 3. Go to Crop…area to crop the movie
there are times you just want some part in the movie disappear like the subtitle and black sides. Crop.. is ready to do that.

Step 4. Click ‘Trim’ button to start split your VOB file.
select the segment of video that need to be editing or converting. Just drag the slider bar to sett start time and end time.

Step 5. Capture images from the frame and tune the effect parameters for high quality video output.
you like a touching scene in the movie? just capture it out of the frame by pressing capture button, the image will then automatically stored in the preassigned folder. the image will be saved as jpg,bmp.png. Adjust the different effect values as the screen shows below.

Step 6. you are now arriving at the final step to finish the editing and converting process
check the properties to make sure every numbers is fine, then press to start conversion.
